Title: Mini-clamps. They're back at Dollarama.
Post by: Frank v B on February 09, 2024, 05:00:56 PM
Just bought two more sets of these today.  18 clamps for $1.50. Two sizes.  They are great for clamping balsa sheeting while glue cures.  They are in the outdoor yard section next to gardening gloves, stakes.  They are strong enought to hold balsa but gentle enough that they do not dent it.

One adjustment- cut the registration nubs off each side of the clamp with an #11 blade.  See photo of the knife blade pointing at one before cutting it off.

A previous photo showing them in use.

Calling all porcupines.

Sheeting the top section of the wing.  Used 15 minute epoxy.
Almost ran out of pins!

Am only sheeting the top to strengthen it.  Will not sheet the bottom until the dihedral race/Landing gear mount is installed.
The dihedral brace will be installed from the open bottom.
Stay tuned.

Frank

ps: yes, the little triangle is missing on the left side.  Will wait until I get a scrap from sheeting the bottom.
