Title: DC3 at Rogo Field
Post by: davidk on August 16, 2024, 07:02:06 PM
Glenn just finished his DC3 and she had a successful maiden today.  Nicely done Glenn!
Michael joined him with his DC3 and they both looked wonderful flying.

This REALLY makes me itchy to rebuild my Grumman Tracker.  This is exactly how I imagined my maiden flight. (Good luck with that Hoffer!!)

Beautiful landings guys.

Really beautiful!!!

Bravo.  Thanks for the inspiration.

Great landings.

The videos make them look fast coming in. Was there no head wind?

It does seem fast in the videos, but they actually seem to fly quite slowly.

It was exciting to fly them together.

These are kit-built Top-Flite DC3s. Glenn maidened his and followed with a second flight. He's deciding on a finishing scheme now.

My DC3 (in the background (same kit and size as Glenn's) was built in 2013.
