Title: Fred Messacar- almost 92 and still ticking
Post by: Frank v B on September 02, 2024, 05:04:43 PM
I had breakfast with Fred Messacar in Brampton today.  We worked together in a previous life at another club. He was president and he roped me in to be on the executive as well.  Fred has been with MAAC for 25 plus years and is currently in charge of the Archives.

Fred is a "Friend of Temac" and has attended some of our Col Mustard meetings, did a presentation on colours* and has attended at least two funflies.

When I asked him how young he was (91) he said "the big guy wouldn't let me through the Pearly Gates yet".  "Two of my applications have already been denied"   ;D

Frank
* Fred spent a lifetime with C.I.L. and is/was an expert on colours and paints.

ps: Fred had a foundation leak in his basement and wanted to know how to find and fix it. Am doing the work a week from now.

Fred is a great guy!

He's always been nice and supportive.

I remember a few years ago going downtown on the subway with him to the Ontario Superior Court to sit through and win a court case. We all went out for a beer afterward. What a great time!
