Post by: Gregor77 on October 24, 2024, 06:16:50 PM
Its yellow, Eric might have grabbed it at one of our swap meets, $40?  Its in great shape, but no electronics, no landing gear.
looks to be made by great planes.

Greg,

I believe the Crazy 8 was a balsa ARF put out by Wattage Models.  They were the first balsa electric ARF's on the market and included the Cap 21.  They were designed for Speed 480 geared brushed motors on 7-8 cells in the NICAD days (7.2-8.4 volts).  They flew quite well as brushed models. They came out in about 2007.
They would be great flyers today on brushless motors and Lipo battery combinations.

For what it is worth.

Frank
ps: will look in my shop in my plan/magazine archive in my shop.
My shop makes my car look pristine and organized.  ;D  Everything in life is relative.

Update: confirmed it was by wattage.  34" span mid-wing model.  Here is a listing on E-Bay https://www.ebay.com/itm/135178183783  It has photos of the box.
