Title: Yes it was hot!! Sunday July 6.
Post by: Frank v B on July 06, 2025, 05:00:07 PM
We were at the field at about 11:30 today and it was beyond hot.  The wind made flying very difficult.  Most of the wind was thermal.  Very bouncy. Very splatty.  Yes those are accurate descriptors of the conditions.
Mark tried to fly and plane with stabilization and found it difficult as well.
We had visitors to the field.  William, Mathew and their mother Maria dropped by to watch model airplanes fly.  Better than a video simulator but the reset button is much more expensive.

I flew 3 of my planes and landed safely (lucky).  Not so with the Club's Apprentice.  It bounced all over the sky and I could not stop it from doing a death spiral.  It is now in the repair shop.

Thanks to Greg for dropping by and explaining things to William and Mathew.  Thanks to Mark for prepping the trainer.
