Sky: overcast. Nasty low cumulus.
Road: ponding
Parking area: ponding
Pits: ponding
Chairs: all on their backs doing yoga, except for Dave's spot
Visitors: one 🐦�⬛
Summary: Flyable, with scuba gear!!😂

General Discussion / Spikes on the Runway
Last post by davidk - March 16, 2025, 07:05:04 PMFrost has pushed up the spikes on the runway, down the middle and the sides... so be cautious when taking off and landing. The ground is still frozen so they can't yet be pushed down.

1. Dave preparing his 3D-printed Snow-Cub (with transparent wings) for its maiden flight.
2. Snow-Cub before takeoff.
3. Successful maiden flight!
4. Mark and Paul chatting.
5. Rob with his Sky Ranger.
6. My customized Twin-jet after its successful maiden flight.
7. Twin-jet low pass.
8. Peter's Kadet Sr. taking off on its maiden flight.
9. Kadet Sr. knife-Edge pass.

11. George watching Mark and Rob fly.
12. Rob's Ugly-Stick coming in for a landing.

In a word: raw!!
Winds: East gusting to 30 kmh
Sky: overcast
Temp: 0 degrees C
Runway: 90% clear, 10% snow patches (1" thick wet granular)
Pits: 3-4" wet granular crunchy snow
Good crosswind practice day.
NOT a good day for those who prefer sleeveless undershirts!
Silver lining: no mosquitoes, no black flies, no no-see-ums, no ticks (in the pits).
Dark cloud; very chilly for relieving oneself; port-a-potty recommended.
