A member had a biplane built by another member. The landing gear broke.  Photo 95
This plane was a kit and it appears to have a weakness built into it.

To remedy it I did the following:
- cut away all old glue and loose balsa. Photo 96.
- cut away all covering near the repair area. Photo 97.
- glue the old plywood mount back in place with epoxy. Photo 98.
- add fibreglass cloth over the balsa area.
- add a plywood brace to cover the entire flat area.
- add fibreglass cloth on top of the plywood.
- screw the LG back in place.

OOOOHHHH! Just found this new plane.
Faster than the V-900 (100 mph on 3S, 130 mph on 4S) but with a bigger wing (span and area).

Kenny should have one flying soon. ;D  ;D

I built the balsa ElectroStreak when it first came out and flew it on 7 cells (8.4 volts, 1500 mah) on the 550 brushed motor supplied in the kit. This combo now with brushless and lipo batteries would weigh about a pound less. The plane target weight was 42 oz or it would not fly very well.  Total flight time was less than 2 minutes.
We have come a long way.
