Ken/Skyking asked me to take a look at this hot wire foam cutting rig he had the parts to.  I did a little research and found that most are adding a GFI to the set up to add a little safety so I added one and put it in a retired tool box(the latch was broken).

The dial adjusts the voltage from 9-27Volts AC.
The silver switch turns it ON and OFF so that once a correct heat voltage is found it can be left.
The GFI is on the end of the case and is a functioning GFI outlet.
There is a plug so he can disconnect the bow from the box should he chose to.

Everything recycled except the GFI outlet!
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

Papa

Nice going, not only are we scratch building models we're scratch building equipment.

What a creative lot we are. Thanks for sharing ED and Ken.

Is Ken going to be kitting his own designs I wonder??

Wow Edward,

It will be a pleasure to use it now.
Thanks so much!

No Jack, ain't gonna be making kits. But it does open up new horizons....
Actually, I can.
