Papa

Wednesday we had our December Pilot's Meeting. it is also our Christmas Party and Annual General Meeting. These affairs require a lot of participation by a lot of people. I would like to thank those who made it such a dynamic and fun event.

"Maynard Hill" made their annual appearance and sang and played for us. Lesley, the singer is of course the wife of our president and also the author of our club anthem. This spot has quickly become a tradition and it would not seem right without them. So thank you very much and of course Simon who looks after the gifties and this year did a duet with "Nard" during the second verse of the club anthem. He's a much better singer than me but I would suggest he still stick to cookies.

Andy and Greg did the photography stuff in addition to other duties and as the tickler shows they did an outstanding job. Graham was tireless setting up tables and working his lighter during the concert.

We had a brief Business Meeting taking less than seven minutes. I do apologize for taking so much time. next year I will practice at doing it faster. Most of the time was taken up answering Grace Hazelton's probing questions.

We had a team contest on how to electrify a couple of old gassers. We then auctioned off the models and made a few dollars for the club. Thanks to Greg Cadez, Simon Hinchcliffe, Robert Pike, Glenn Nikolaiko, Michael Rogozinsky, Andy Hoffer, Greg Hazelton, Frank van Beurden and Bill Quantock. Don Duthie donated the models, thank you Don.

Frank and Robert have been very supportive of the build classes and our training programme and again our gratitude for all the time  given so freely to the club.

We had an interesting and varied Show & Tell, thank you for all the participation.

I would like to thank the Board for always being the first to volunteer for events, it takes a load off my shoulders. Having this kind of support is so encouraging. Speaking of encouragement there is one person I must single out for special recognition and that is Michael Rogozinsky. He is always there for me and has been ever since I got involved with the club.

Lastly the members who support me by coming out to events make it all worthwhile and I really appreciate your participation.

If I have missed anyone I apologize.

Thank you.

Jack.
