After they release Corsair S /w SAFE, the next Warbird with SAFE technology (option) is the Spitfire

http://www.horizonhobby.com/product/airplanes/bind-n-fly/airplane-new-releases/spitfire-mk-xiv-12m-bnf-basic--efl8650

Unlike the SAFE Corsair S with only 4 channels, the new Spitfire comes with 4 panels split Flaps, retracts and 5 blade prop.

The SAFE by default is disabled out of the box. You can now select whether you want SAFE enable or not thru binding sequence. (NEAT!!!) Note - By default AS3X is enabled whether you have SAFE turn on or not.

Runs on 3S 2200mah.

Oh...  ;D

Looking at the price difference.

High wing Apprentice S 15e  BNF (http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Support.aspx?ProdID=EFL3180) - $250
Low wing Corsair S BNF (http://www.horizonhobby.com/f4u-corsair-s-bnf-with-safe-reg%3B-technology-hbz8280) - $270
Low wing SpitFire Mk XIV S BNF (http://www.horizonhobby.com/product/airplanes/bind-n-fly/airplane-new-releases/spitfire-mk-xiv-12m-bnf-basic--efl8650) - $270

(Note - none comes with the Transmitter)

For this price where SpitFire comes with 4-panels split flaps, retracts plus SAFE and AS3X.   It's really a bargain.  The Apprentice S will become less appealing to the beginner pilots.

For someone who had an Apprentice, this is the next plane to get.  The new SAFE technology will assist you in learning how to do perfect landing with FLAPS.

And with the option to disable SAFE, HH is targeting all level of pilots.

A beauty...

Which one will be next? Based on HH's warbird history I'm guessing a 1.2m Thunderbolt (Or maybe they already have one, their website is a mess, Scale planes in the sport tab)

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Simon - One more SpitFire announcement. This time, it's from FlightLineRC (Freewing).  Also 1.2m wingspan.  More scale, more detail, and faster too!!

I just posted in the forum.  Check it out.

Oscar, stop, your killing me. I already have 4 Spitfires. I love the Freewing one. I think I need it.
What could possibly go wrong?
