What can I say, I've led a sheltered life! I presume rattlecan is an aerosol spray, but I'm stuck on home depot sample pots.

Hey Allen,

We're just messing with ya :-)

Yes, rattle can is what the kids call spray paint.  The sample pots are small containers of paint that Home Depot (or other similar stores) offer to try the paint out before committing to a full can.  They only cost about $5 but your choice of sheen is limited.

...but the advantage of the Home Depot pots is that, despite limited sheen, they can match any colour you like.

The latex water-based matte sample paint can be covered with glossy water-based polyurethane.
