Hey chaps,
Here's a short video of the hangar tour my family and I took at Biggin Hill, prior to the Spitfire flight I was lucky enough to take in September.   It is a slightly 'different' look at the day, than the main Spitfire Flight film. It includes some wonderful aerial footage of MJ627 - 9GQ, flying over the English Channel at Beachy Head. The aeroplane was flown by Don Sigournay but on an earlier flight. It was filmed from a helicopter.  Just wonderful footage.  It includes the 'Wing Over',  the 'long graceful turn' and the 'Power Dive' at the foot of the cliffs, climbing out to a 'Victory Roll'.  Fancy having a day job like Don Sigournay?:

In case you didn't catch it before, here's the detailed, in cockpit footage of the full flight experience:

Anyone who has watched the excellent documentary 'Spitfire - The Plane That Saved the World' - on Netflix, will recognize these two wonderful veteran pilots, Sqdn Ldr Allan Scott and ATA lady, Mary Ellis.

The attached photo was taken at Biggin Hill on the occasion of the Centenary celebration of the RAF's 100th year.  Allan was 96 yrs old and Mary 101 yrs old. Sadly, Mary has since passed.

Also interesting is the aeroplane they were each taken up in for the occasion... MJ627 - 9GQ
