I will be at the field this Sunday from about 10 am to about 1 pm.

If you need help with a maiden flight or some trimming I would be happy to help.

Weird day.  Started off cloudy but then the sun came out by 10 am.  Ended up sunny all morning and hot.
Not very windy from the south despite what the Honda Flag's furious flapping indicated while driving north on the 404.
The tricky part.... the vertical wind velocity at times was greater than the horizontal velocity.  The thermals were rampant.  The big birds* were out.

Photo report:

38- my attempt at an Andy-type photo.  Wait for the depth-of-field and composition comments from Andy.
40- my new Taylorcraft- went light and kept the 450 (not 480) and a small battery (850, not 1600) but had to add a wooden prop.  Flew great.  Thanks Peter!
41- part of my fleet.
42- Andrew came for his free flight.  The Apprentice was donated by Malcolm Cullen and used batteries donated by Mark Satin.
44- Dad (Olec) and Andrew.  Both had a flight.  Dad did control line back in the old country.
45- Team photo again.
48- new member Mike Veit came for 3 flights on the buddy box.
47- Mike holding his "Not the Student of the Year" award.  Today's visit was a present courtesy of his wife on their 40th wedding anniversary.
50- Mike managed a carrier landing.  Notice he snagged the tail hook on the wire.
51- The landing wire cut off.
52- Sophia took Greg to the field.

Great photos. Here's hoping the weather will hold up for a while longer.
