Frank v B

I am planning to go to the field tomorrow (Sunday) from about 10 am to about 1 pm.

If you need help with a maiden, a test flight or a trim flight please drop by.

New (returning) member Eric Wedseltoft is meeting me for a check flight at 10 am.  Those of you who have been around TEMAC for a while will remember his son Andre (The Giant) who is a very capable builder and flyer.  Eric taught him well.  Eric just moved to Stouffville (Cadezville ;)) and we hope he will be hanging around TEMAC a lot.

New member Max Sutherland will be by at about 11 am.

This clearly is bait.  No way am I touching this one.  Suffice to say I am quite happy taking care of my maidens maiden myself.  My spouse would not be pleased if I asked @Frank v B  to intervene.  Although I'm sure some might think that this would be an improvement for her!   ;D

In retrospect, should have kept the speed up for the final approach, or better yet, asked you to fly it for me!

What a glorious day.  As has been common this year it was windy with direction changes regularly.

Eric Wedseltoft was the first to arrive for his check flight.  Do you think a person who has been CFI at previous clubs would pass?  No problem.  Eric, welcome to TEMAC and bring Andre any time.

Next Max Sutherland, soon to be member, dropped by.  His plane was trimmed out ready for Wednesday's instruction night.

The Ryerson boys dropped by with their multi-purpose egg beater and had a very solid flight.  The flight transition from vertical to horizontal flight was flawless.  Great going.

Here are the photos:
28: "No, this plane is worth twice as much!"  Eric (r), discussing the theory of flight.
30: Soon to be member Max Sutherland setting up his Timber.
31: Vadim trying to buy the Ryerson Verti-BeaterWhirlyThing for $20.00.  Robel did not bite.
32: Vadim still trying.
33: Victoria supervising her father (Vadim)
34: The Ryerson "Gizmo-Beater" being set up.
36: Graham using the silver foil on a Ryerson 6S 22,000 Mah battery for fill-in lighting just to give Andy something to comment on*.
37: Vadim crashed his P-51.  The motor parted from the plane when he powered up.  The CVR and Flight Data recorders are still being analyzed but it appeared the 4 bladed prop spit one blade and the motor parted company with the fuse.
38: Vadim found his motor 100 feet away from his crashed plane (P-51)
40: The damaged P-51 minus the motor.
41- Graham appeared pleased after his inspection tour.
42- the Ryerson plane ready for flight.  Each of those 5 motors has a 120 amp ESC.  Ouch.

Guests dropped by.  Bob and Ann were driving by.  Bob has built two planes  (Unionville Fleet Finch, Unionville Tiger Moth) with IC motors but has never flown RC so I invited him for a Club Trainer flight on Wednesday.

* yes Andy, I ended a sentence with a preposition.  What are you going to do about it?  ;)

It is most gratifying that @Frank v B is now able to both recognize and conduct a cogent discussion on fill lighting.  It was a long time coming, but the perseverance was worth it.

As for your prepositional sentence closure, I need to investigate the finer points of Dutch grammar in order to determine whether this is something you have any hope at all of correcting in your use of English!  ;D

It's a good thing you can see the pilot busts.  Otherwise you would never know whose plane is whose!  ;D
