Talks about a new runway

Went to the field the other day just to introduce myself and get familiar with the members of temac. Noticed the runway is a bit worse for wear, will there be any talks of a new runway?

Yeah I agree. I was there earlier this week to check out the airfield as I plan on joining next season. It is very bumpy and could damage landing gear. New runway will be great for the field

Guys, not sure why you think the runway is not up to par, we have dozens of different planes using it every day. The planes range from $100 trainers to several thousand dollar jets. The only time anyone has lost their gear on the runway is due to the angle of decent combined with airspeed, lack of, or too much.

The Club is a great club and our executives do a great job of maintaining the field, they do attend to repairs when needed.

If you don't want to land on the runway, there is always the option of grass. Just my thoughts, thanks.

I find it interesting that 2 people with no knowledge of our club & it's members, not to mention they are NOT TEMAC members, should feel so comfortable posting comments like this!

Ive been to your field countless times to talk to the members such as ken and his amazing jets. We have talked over the runway quality with the same response and thoughts I have had. Its just more bumpy for my jets then I would feel comfortable with and that is why I asked. The grass can get soft and sometimes ruin my landing gear that is not an option . Was just asking a simple question and was not expecting that response. a bit disappointed,

Yeah was just throwing out there. I think we should be more respectful in our responses as it's totally fine to have ideas to better the field!

Well right now the ground is very very hard..
But.... come the spring we usually have clean up and fix up time....
The ground is usually wet enough to roll out. And hopefully it can be made a bit smoother.....
We could always use extra hands rolling out the run way.... the more we can roll the flatter....
Just saying....
