Winter Parking at TEMAC

Hi Folks:

We can legally park on the shoulder of Stouffville Road at TEMAC Field! 

I just spoke with Ms. Linda Mainprize, Parking Enforcement Officer for the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.  She confirmed that it is permissible to park on the shoulder of Stouffville Road, unless signed otherwise, as long as we are not obstructing traffic or snow clearing operations.  They prefer that all cars park on the same side of the road, which we would of course do.

For further info, you can call Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, By-Law Department, at 905-640-1900 or 1-855-642-8696 ext. 2229.  They are responsible for parking infractions.

And the forecast for ths Sunday (Feb 24) calls for a high of 2C, winds west at a moderate 15 kmh.  Perfect winter flying conditions.  So charge your batteries, put on your snow pants, and be an Ice Pilot!

Now there is no excuse for not flying in winter.  All folks have to do is go to Ed's tailor to get fitted for an exposure suit and they'll be good to go.
