Funny "learning" mistake....

I was adding some carbon tissue to my Nooner wing, to hopefully prevent it from breaking where my crease was showing, and tried to come up with a way of weighting it down smooth on the surface.

I didn't have a sand bag or anything heavy and flexible so I pondered for a while and came up with a solution! I used a cushion with gym weights on it! Anyway, I tested it and thought it would work.

This morning when I checked my wing, the carbon is flush on the wing and my solution seems to have worked, but......

I know have the cushion pattern in the carbon/epoxy surface! Doh!!!

Is that a booger on your finger in the last photo? Why is the fuse covered in green tape or is this related to the first question? Looks good

It's LePage Express glue on my finger. And the tape on the fuse is to protect it from my grubby mitts as I reinforce it with fiberglass & epoxy (before it breaks at the wing saddle.)

Does the Stinger have a legal wing, or are you having to use your custom wings again?

BTW, I looked at my wing again and also felt it looked thick, so I measured it and it's closer to 12%! I realized that the old templates I was using were 10% BEFORE the sheeting is applied. Maybe they were for another plane, or maybe my Morphine was 12% in the old days and I didn't realize it. Anyway, I'm cutting new cores
