So I ended up needed to find a solution for my balsa usa DR1. So I came up with this:  cheap and looks good. Remember the old film cases?  Well I ended up with lots for mixing paint. I grabbed for 3/16 light y from Ron at pin. Then templated a circle from a dish in the kitchen. I market the location of the cylinders and glued them to the circle with hot glue. I cut done 1/4 balsa for support and the ran another 3/16 behind the 1/4 to make it stronger. Then cut the remaining 1/4 to add the top of the exhaust ports and rockers. Some straws for the exhaust and glued them to the sides based on images of the Rhine motors. Then marked the location of the firewall on the plane and made a bolt with spaces. Once all lined up. You can add some screws and other small details. Didn't take long. But a good way to cover the batteries.

That looks great!  When's the test flight?  This Sunday after the field clean-up?

Do Glenn, Michael and I have to bring out the 1/4 scale airforce?
