There's been some fun flying at Rogofield this year, despite the fact that the promise of a warm spring has not been a reality, yet.  Our Ryerson friends have progressed very well, and their pilots have been improving their skills.

Our students in build class have also made excellent progress - there will be some wonderful new models at TEMAC this year.  I was a little worried by the fact that people actually listen to what I say at build class!

While we talk about learning, and developing skills, we'd really like to ask for some more help on Student Nights this year.  We train new pilots every Wednesday from May to September, from 6pm.  We've found that there are 2 types of help that we benefit from - ground support and then flight instruction.

The people on the ground, in the pits, help the students set up their aircraft, talk about the safety aspects of flying at the field and generally welcome them to the TEMAC atmosphere and culture.

As a flight instructor you need to help develop the confidence, safety awareness and orientation of the students in the air and of course that means being ready to recover from a potential crash at all times!

If you think you can help, and are willing to commit to Wednesday evenings, please see Mike Hazelton (our Chief Flight Instructor) or Graham McNichol (the Director of Safety & Administration.)

Hope to see you all at the Pilots meeting on April 13th - bring your new planes for a mammoth "Show 'n' Tell"
