I've often wondered how that would work.  Better than I expected.

I imagine the two models would diverge more in windy and gusty conditions.

I remember a few years ago, Pat Mackenzie flew 2 Vapors (indoors) on one transmitter.

Visions: BJ flying a Twofer and can't decide on which side to pass the windsock. :D

For me, this plane would just double the subjects for the repair classes.   ;D

That's very cool and technically challenge.
Well they find another application on the KK2 FC, same guy venturing the VTOL couple years ago.

Yes, it's a very flexible piece of control software. I understand NASA is using it to test some of their experimental aircraft.  I've revived my old KK2 boards and have been experimenting with this VTOL software on the KK2 board. So far I'm very impressed with it, especially with it's flexibility. I'm using it to control my scratch build tricopter based fixed wing VTOL aircraft.  Hovering parameter fine tuning have been completed in the garage and backyard test flights. Fast forward and transition flight parameters will need to be done at the flying field. Now it seems like I have to wait until Spring to do this >:(

Here's a video of my backyard hover test flight from a couple of weeks ago. (The garage hovel test without the wing attached was previously posted in another thread):

;D Members of the morning crew can top that "Formation flying - 2 Planes 1 Pilot".

On many occasions 2 morning crew pilots have flown 1 plane with 2 transmitters.

This is much easier to do than one thinks.  It often occurs during formation flying and combat events shortly after 2 aircraft simultaneously share the same air-space at the same time and only one plane flies away with 2 pilots in control of it.
