Had lunch today in Bolton with old flying buddies Fred Messacar (MAAC, Archives and Constitution) and Rudie Nagelmakers, VP and chief troublemaker at the Beeton Flyers.  Between the three of us there are at least 120 years of MAAC membership.  Both Rudie (T-sirt) and Fred (dark glasses) visit TEMAC from time to time.  They are always welcome to fly with us.

Fred and I used to help each other with Cub, Scout, Air Cadet and Ryerson programs.  Rudie was one of my flight instructors when I started.  The next year he roped me into executive duties by telling me I was nominated for a position when I was out-of-province on a business trip.  Modified Democracy always works.  Volunteerism in its pure form is a myth.  ;)  Ask any of the members on our executive. ;D ;)

Always good to break bread with them.
