TEMAC TICKLER April Pilot's Meeting cancelled

Wow! How things have changed so much in such little time!

I hope all of our membership, our friends and families are doing as well as possible.

Due to these unforeseen circumstances, we are approaching the Spring and Summer with caution. So far, all funflies and events are not confirmed, and our April Pilot's is officially cancelled.

While we generally believe (at this time) that is relatively safe to fly at our field (still not officially open for the season), as long as we keep our distance from each other, the board will assess the situations and advise all members as soon as possible, of decisions that may affect our activities. It is possible that some activities that involve close proximity to other people, such as flight instruction and barbeques, may have to be re-considered for the season,

In the meantime, I bought a couple balsa kits to keep myself entertained (away from the internet and TV). It's a great way to have fun and keep occupied. Please involve yourselves to discussion on the TEMAC website forum, and share your projects with photos and dialogue.

Membership renewal for 2020 is $80. Please check the Membership link on the TEMAC website for other membership fees. We accept Interac e-transfers (payments) for Membership fees. Send your Interact Payment to [email protected]        Your payment will be acknowledged via email and your PAID Invoice with your new Membership Card will be emailed to you.

These are the screening questions being asked at work, everyday, in an attempt to keep the Plant safe and continuing to produce food.

If anyone answers "yes" to any of these questions they are asked to self isolate for 14 days.

Suggest these may be good questions to ask yourself before coming to the field!

a. Have you or anyone in your household traveled outside of Canada in last 14 days?

b. Are you currently suffering from any of the following symptoms:  fever, cough, runny nose, headache, sore throat, respiratory distress, and/or a general feeling of being unwell?

c. Have you been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for Coronavirus, who has been tested for Coronavirus or whom is under quarantine due to risk of Coronavirus exposure?

As in several states, Illinois is under a "Stay at Home" order.

Horizon Hobby (Hangar 9, E-Flite, Spektrum, etc.) has sent out an email to their customers that they will not be flying at their clubs.

So far, such an order hasn't been issued in Ontario nor the GTA, however, if a similar situation develops here, we will have no choice but to officially close the field temporarily.

Based on current protocols and the conditions of the field, flying at TEMAC is not recommended.

Just an FYI. Starting Saturday OPP will be cracking down on individuals breaking the province emergency order that includes social gatherings. Tickets starts at $840
With weather being nice and all that be smart and stay home.
