Repairing an E-Flite Aeroscout nose wheel- punched through the fuse

This is a repair of the nose wheel assembly that punched through the fuselage and the plywood tray to which it was attached.

Approach

1) glue nose wheel in place
2) fill in the missing foam
3) strengthen everything- (fibreglass?)

Filling in the holes- cutting foam to size and slipping it into the gap.
Gaps filled with epoxy to strengthen it.

Repair done- Last hitch- the rudder/nose gear servo had stripped gears when fully deflected.

Changed the servo.  Only a Hitec HS-55 had the same spline size as the old servo.

The epoxy on the outside of the fuselage to fill the gaps strengthened the nose wheel enough so no fibreglass is needed.
Put some epoxy on the inside as double protection.

Repair finished.

ps: the figure 8 knot in the broken servo wire is my indication this servo is toast.  Do not want it to work its way back into my reserves (it has happened!).
