Here I am. Saturday evening. Winds from the south at 5km/h and there's only two people at the field?! We spend all winter waiting for this and when it happens... the sound of crickets...

I was flying in a gale, with rain lashing my face last night (Friday) ............ and I was alone until someone else turned up!

I was planning to be there, but I ended up working later than expected.  Oh well,  one of these days.

Well, you can just imagine my disappointment arriving at the field at 6:00 this evening, beautiful steady winds straight out of the south at 18 kmh, and NO Mike H.  I even looked inside that old derelict camper top by the driveway, but no luck.  It really was a perfect hour till the rain finally started at 7:00 pm.
Had a great chat with Adrian Vaughan about his full-scale flying in the good old days and his modelling with the Society of Antique Modellers.  And a beautiful empty sky to play with.

We missed you Mike.
