A bit of a hot day, but the conditions were too good for me to pass up the opportunity to fly. Lots of people at the field, almost like a fun fly. Personal highlight for me was Greg and I racing our EF1 planes.

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Wish I was there.  No sitting at home with sunstroke again.

Minupla

I was there, and thanks for taking me up Mike.

My first ever airplane braking crash while sitting on the grass with no transmitter in my hand!  lol - wind took it off the table and broke the tail off.

Poor Bixley is currently healing with some foam2foam in the hanger.  I'm seriously thinking about an apprentice as a second set of wings.

Hi Dale, check out the Sensei.

IMHO a much better design for training. Watch all the
Apprentici tipping over on taxi. Sensei is a much newer design.

Getting ready for practice at Orangeville in Sept.? Who was the winner?

thehaze

Yep,

No winner, no loser really. But it would appear that both planes are quite evenly matched now that Greg is using the Eflite motor (I'm running the OS one). This class is definitely a pilot's race.

I can't wait to fly around the pylons.

battlestu

agreed the e-flite motor really got the Toni moving  ;D

Sunday was good too!   I was there for a bit on and off... got side tracked trying to help some ladies on the side of the road that broke down...   ::)

Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?
