Congradulations Pat for going out and giving it a shot!
I just couldnt get myself to do it.  Looked at it a few times and didnt want to waste anyones time with my poor flying.  Is there a chance that this could be a go for next year?  If I start now I might be ready lol.  I understand Devon Mcgrath showed up and cleaned house?   approximatly what was the number of competitors in the classes?

Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

I think there were 6 in each class.
Devon was there, and he flew really well. His model was also superb. Extremely light due to all the milling, stiff dues to all the carbon micro tubing added, and he had a contra-rotating prop.
He also brought his vectored thrust VPP model and did a couple of amazing demo flights.

Devon even drills holes in the servo cases and gears to reduce their weight!
My model (a stock V1 Osiris) was fine for trying to hit the broad side of the barn, but if you are going for the bulls eye like Devin then that is the sort of thing you have to do. :)
