What a terrific day!  We came we flew we laughed. I'm so proud and glad to be a part of TEMAC that I just want to thank everyone that was out for having the club motto on there face all day!  Thank you. YOU the members make this club what it is. (OK OK our amazing executive does do all the footwork so we can have fun.)   Those of you that didn't make the trek missed a good one!
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

What a perfect day for flying!

I counted the maximum number of planes in the air at the same time a number of times. Good flying, spectacular failures, and all the things that make this hobby so much fun! The smoke trail from Ronny (I need more power!)'s F-16 was quite the sight as well.

Can't wait to do it again!

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Days are getting longer!  Just got in from flying at 7:00 and I didn't pack in because of daylight!
High winds, cold, and a solid ice landing area. What normal person wouldn't go flying lol

Ed,

There is a very fine line between dedication and desperation when you write about  "flying", "high winds", "solid ice" in the same sentence.  I don't do it because I don't want to give my wife a reason to call me an idiot.  I save all my flying for better weather when my wife calling me an "idiot" sounds more complimentary. 8)

One day closer to spring!

Im not out looking for anyone to say im normal!
I just figure your about 1000 Nooner flights ahead of me.  Im at flight 6 now.

Ed,

Quality versus quantity.  You probably had more minutes under control in 6 flights than I had in my 1000 flights.  Remember my only mission in this pylon project is to beat Simon and achieve second last place in the standings.  Humble beginnings. ;D

I've got a full-immersion, 360 degree Nooner simulator at home.  This week I've logged 1,000 of hours.  I even loan it out (as you can see here, I've had some famous people come and try it!)

Mission BVB is on!  ;D

So are you planning to fly it in Alaska ?
Or you just plan to let Sarah fly it FPV via satellite link.
* If you are planing on bringing her over and fly it for you I think you will be disqualified due to unfair advantage.

....By the way things move I will probably have the maiden flight on the day the races begin.

Simon,

I hate to be precise, knowing we are a flying club and not a math club, but a week has 168 hours.  Are you a part-time advertising copy writer?  Sounds like the marketing plans we used to write when I was in corporate life.

May your Nooner stay at my 6 O'clock and Sarah Palin be your co-pile-it.

2 more flights tonight. Same crap conditions. If there is ever a race in high winds I'm ready!  As long as you can land into the wind its all good.  That is unless you have a rudder.  At speed it handles the wind quite well.

Going to the field today about 1-2  Bring out your racers chickens!
