Im sorry guys....  You dont have a chance...  My motor arrived today and I just did some quick tests..

Please be sure to spell my name correctly on the trophy.
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

piker

Ummm.   I don't think so.  My 18A motor is being used to spin up a turbine!

You can just see my Nooner go past that F5D thing at 46 seconds!

Ed,

Do you want the trophy to be made out to Ed, Edward, A$$hole, or "Granny did it faster"??   ;D

Simon and I are still battling for the "Last Best" trophy

I figure everyone will be calling me a combination of those and more names soon enough!

Plan is for Simon to pick up his plane tomorrow.  He has some stickers to add that I worked around with the covering scheme.  All that is left to do is install a wing bolt and blind nut (I didnt have one nor get a chance to pick one up)  Oh and a prop might help too!

Nice,

Mine won't look anything like that.

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

sihinch

Mine won't for long!

Awesome work, Ed, thank you

Ededge2002

I found the instructions sheets for the Nooner as there was only one copy with the group buy.

I've nearly finished the Nooner now!   ;)

Blind nut and prop to be added tomorrow.

Michael

I've officially started mine.

Wing halves glued together.

Michael

I hope you guys don't mind, but I'd like to note my progress in this thread too.

Wings glued, secured onto fuselage, servo installed and ailerons prepared.

The more the merrier Michael!  Did you happen to purchase a dubro set for your aileron linkage?  Happen to have the stock number?

Dubro 850, the MICRO set.

I'm not sure if I'll stick with it.

I'll need to test it under stress.
