I think Andy was pretty clear here....

In fact, I've never seen Andy be this brief and specific.

Hi @bfeist:

I have absolutely no idea what came over me.  I mean, with approximately 1,025,109.8 words in the English language as of January 1, 2014, there is so much that can be said and so much artful prose available for saying it, and short of a bandwidth limitation or discretionary filter (of which I have neither), or the prospect of annoying an air traffic controller (who can really make your life miserable) with excessive verbosity, why on earth - or in the air even - would one opt for succinct shorthand.

Especially when all the world's a stage!   ;D

My apologies for such a terse and insensitive digest of the forecast.

I will endeavour to provide more fulsome meterological outlooks in the future.

Humbly yours,

Andy

It happens when the word is evolving at the stroke of midnight and you've only written out 80% of the letters!

The aviation industry has been "tweeting" since 1970. Someone should tell them that their database could be upgraded to hold longer words.

Andy Hoffer

That would take away the mystique!   8)

Hey!  When I posted my reply above, Andy's forecasts was showing as just a jumble of random digits.  Hence my dumb joke  :)

Anyway, so, cloudy with a bit of wind...

Correction: VARIABLE Cloudiness with wind starting at 13km East and decreasing to 9km SE by 8pm.  ;D  See y'all there
Any day at the field is a good day :)

Thank you Mike and Greg for allowing me to begin flying solo tonight.  It's a step closer to get my wing.   ;D

I put on a Gopro tonight while flying the HK Flybeam.  It will be awesome if the sky is totally dark.  (BTW, Thanks Greg for helping me tuning the plane.  It flies much better now)

Well done to all the students.  Despite being cold (Andy - what happened to your forecast  ??? ) I had a great time.

I really enjoyed helping John Preston work on his landing technique - within a few minutes he was doing approaches like never before!  ;)  Also it was great to get Kevin in the air (but I would really think about a Spektrum radio, Kevin - try RCCanada perhaps for a second-hand one?) and then Eddie showed what he can do with a fixed wing plane - we look forward to you becoming a member now Eddie.  :)

Also, it was good to re-re-re-re-re-maiden my Nooner after another crash (and wing brace & firewall removal  :-\ )

And a certain lady had her first flight last night...........someone seemed quite chuffed!  :)

thehaze

Yes another fun night at TEMAC.

There was a lot of great flying by the students. Of note was Oscar completing his first solo flight with his Apprentice.

Thanks to all those who helped with instruction.

Until next week,

Mike
Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Oscar

Thank you Mike.  It's very exciting to able to fly solo.

I wonder, are there any instructor will be flying (or on site) this weekend?
