I was sitting down today, at the field with Jack, Don and Greg, enjoying a fascinating conversion.  During the conversion, Chuck Yeager came up.

If anyone had seen the movie "the Right Stuff", you will remember the time when Yeager crashed a rocket plane.  Here is the very cool thing about this research aircraft.  There was four pilots involved with the program, of which, one was Jack Woodman (RCAF test pilot for the Avro Arrow).

The chief test pilot had started a website about this aircraft (NF-104) telling the whole story, it is very fascinating.

So who is up to put a rocket engine on the tail of a F-104 model and seeing how high it will go ?
