This coming Sunday is our annual TEMAC Funfly.  Greg will post the details on timing in his weekly update.  This note is an attempt to deal with the contents of the event.  Join in on the creation of memorable events:

Warbirds flyby-  Cadez- how many members can you get to come out and fly a WW2 model in a series of strafing runs over the field?  We definitely need to end with a "missing man" formation in honour of Jack H.

Jet Scream-by- Simon- how many members can you get to bring a jet to the field and do a flyby, or in your case, a 6S scream-by?

WWI planes- Glenn, how many members can you arm-twist into a WW1 bi-plane fly by?  (putt-putt-by versus Simon's scream-by).

Biplanes- Oscar- get your Wacko buddies to bring their biplanes.  I will bring my Skywriter.

Multi-engine/flying boats- Michael- how many can you arm-twist for a Flying boat flying session.

EF-1/Nooner- I will bring both and we will attempt to fly both at the same time.

Warwings- Bruce will weave his magic with as many Warwings as he can muster.  Bruce, bring 1000' of ribbon!!... and bring some for other members as well. :D

ADDED:   A Power glider glide-by. How about putting Greg H. in charge of this event so he will be forced to get his RedEagle going. 8)  A 15 second motor run with an all-up at the same time, last one down wins.  Max is 10 minutes to respect other members' flying time.   One second over 10 minutes is a DQ.  We should do this before lunch before the thermals start booming..... if the sun is out.  This is structured with a Simon-limiter. A 15 second power run for Simon will put him halfway to the moon. ;D ;D  Calling Michael, Glenn, Don Duthie (with Graham as coach), Bruce, Dr. John, Rob D. and others including myself.
Oh crap, just realized that if Ben shows up with his Sailaire we are all toast ;D

Any other ideas?

Each one of these will only take 5-10 minutes between general flying but would be impressive to see and force members to get off their behinds and keep flying.

Oh, yes,  Andy will be in charge of the weather.  Don't fail me now buddy. ;D
Hey Andy, with Greg H.'s photos on this post about yesterday's events at the field, your job is at risk.  There is competition! :D

Greg,

Great photos.  Looks like you had a great day.  Made me realize I forgot a class of planes.  A glider Glide-by as seen in the background of the first photo.  Have added it.

Great that Andre has confirmed.
Just got confirmation this evening that Rudie Nagelmakers (vp Beeton Flyers) will join us.  He is bringing a biplane (E-Flite Pitts 15) so he will be in Oscar's Wacko Group.

Also, there is a good chance that Roger from John's Hobbies will drop by in the morning.

Missed an opportunity to get Bill Quantock involved.

If he can make it he will be Captain Canada and lead all the Canadian planes in a fly-past.  Planes like the Beaver (I will bring mine and hopefully Andy will bring his if he had a chance to repair it from the last dirt-dive), Jenny, Silver Dart, Golden F86, Norseman, or any plane in Canadian livery.

What a great event today.  A little windy but it was at least down the runway... for once!  A terrific turnout, the parking lot was full and most times the sky was full.
Great to see the hobby shop guys there: Ron Pin, Ken from GreatHobbies and Roger from John's Hobbies.  Many people turned up who had had a busy summer and had been unable to fly as often as they wished.  Among these were Gerald Danen, Simon Chapman and Andy Hoffer.  Visitors like Andre the Giant and his father (aka:The Award and Draw Stealers), Alan Biggerstaff from Guelph, Rudie Nagelmakers and Chris Curd from the Beeton Flyers and our own Andy Hoffer who had a great time taking pictures.  Andy even flew!

Thanks to Simon for a great job of the formalities, to Graham for the terrific conditions of the field and environs, Greg Hazelton for doing his job as Events Guy and to Michael for being a good sport about the power line ruining his day and a plane.  Thanks to Roger "That" Mason for the  Dura-Grit prize coupons (I stole two in the draws).

It was neat to see 7 biplanes in the air at once.  Fourteen Wings Over TEMAC

Here's hoping to some photos from Andy Greg and Adam.

It was very nice to see all of you at the field today.
Anyone has seen a mango-colour plastic box sized 8 x 8 x 12 inches?
I lost it at the field this afternoon:  I have a Fish Shark FTV & camera and a few accessories in it.  Please call me at 416-439-2084 if you have any idea about it.
Thanks in advance!

It was a great funfly!

In my opinion, this was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, single day funfly we ever had. There were easily over 30 cars parked all day, as people came and left, and more than 50 people enjoying the fun.

I especially enjoyed the EF1 racing, the combat, and the biplane group-flying. Doing a very-slow speed pass together with André and Glenn was amazing!
