Hi everyone, just an update on what we discussed at the last Board meeting, regarding your suggestions.....
Regarding the runway extension - we agree this would be nice. Since our current runway is starting to look quite tired, we are proposing a replacement runway installation in 2019. At this time, we would look to increasing length and width.
Sun shades - yes! Great idea. However, the Board felt that due to the risk of vandalism and damage from the elements, we can't have anything that we can leave up all the time. And if we had a more substantial erect-able sunshade (like the one Stephan), someone would always need to put it down when it's been used for the day. So the Board decided that a new sunshade would not be a workable solution. Everyone is welcome to use the TEMAC tent that is kept in our storage bin on the field. But you must please make sure you put it away again.
The FPV frequency board was agreed as a great idea by the Board, and before we could act some very kind members have developed a solution that is being implemented as I write (thanks

@ppalumbo .)
We're also planning to add some more gravel again this year, to help sure-up the drive and increase access in Spring and Autumn. Every year our efforts increase the length of usable flying season at Rogofield, by improving access.
And finally, for 2018, we plan to level "the loo" and storage area, to improve the overall "relief" experience. So you can pee upright!
