Guys,
This DHAeTS newsletter maybe of interest to some of you?  (click link below)

Among the 'Old boy - who's who, uninteresting newsletter stuff' are littered interesting bytes of aviation history and exciting current news - such as :
- the 'Electric Powered Airliner' project being conducted by Airbus, Rolls Royce and Siemens.  (I guess TEMAC RC model pilots are not the only ones pushing the electric envelope?)
- The 'New Boy' apprentice who joined DeHavilland in 1957, served his 5 yr apprenticeship working in the factory on many projects, including the Red Top and Firestreak guided missile projects (could be me and most other DH apprentices up to this point) and - then - suddenly - becomes a pilot, flying EE Lightnings at the DH factory, live firing those very same missiles over Cardigan Bay in Wales!  Then a stint in the RAF flying Lightnings and Hawker Hunters, finally a civil aviation career as a captain of a Cathay Pacific 747.  Hmm, not your average apprentice?

Anyway, hope you enjoy some of the hidden gems...
