Hello, I am starting to build a SIG Komander.  I plan on installing a E-Flite 46 Outrunner motor, using 3300-4S battery.
I am looking for a template for the X-mount for the motor so I can drill and add the blind nuts without drilling through a motor mount.
The dimensions I came up with were 50mm centre to centre as per the attached picture.

Are these the correct dimensions for the E-Flite?

Thank you.

Guy,

Just pulled out my NIB E-Flite Power 46, the original instructions and my digital micrometer.*
Funny that the instructions do not contain the drawings and distances.

Distance between the firewall mounting holes centres- 56.0 mm  (outer holes) Measured diagonally across the centre.
Distance between the motor mounting hole centres- 30.0 mm (inner holes).  Measured diagonally across the centre.

The inner holes are symmetrical for the Power 46.  Some motors are not.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Frank! :)
This helps.
I too was surprised  :o to see that there were no template or dimensions shown in the instructions.

I am very interested in finding out how you liked the Sig Komander as an electric?

I am planning to do the same.

Did you have a kit? or did you build it from scratch?

GuyOReilly

@Herman8r sorry for the late reply.
The Sig Kommander was built from a kit.
Plans were followed for the most part.
CG as per plan.
The motor was fitted with spacers so that the prop would not hit the cowling.
Initially, a spinner was fitted, but subsequently removed to enhance the cooling of the motor and ESC.
It flies quite well on 4 cells.
The motor is an EFlite 45 with a 60 amps ESC.
