This is a design by Marko Roolaid.  Video can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0BxTyW8jn0

He prints it with LW-PLA and Carbon Fiber but I don't have a machine that can print CF so I'm printing in PETG.

He wanted to bring the standard method of building into a 3D printed world and so we have a classic rib design.

The wing and tail are covered with a hot laminate film which is 30 microns - a bit thin, but that's what he's using.  Michael is covering this for me and it looks pretty good.

This little cub will be on printed skis.

3mm CF tubes and 1.2mm CF robs are used in wing.  The ribs are all printed and a printed width guide ensures proper spacing.  The centre rib is PETG with all other ribs LW-PLA.

The Wing is essentially done.  The Ailerons were built into the wing and will be cut out of the wing next.

Something I found interesting while printing the ribs.  The first rib image (in grey) is what the rib looks like as designed.  It's all in one piece.  However, in the sliced, ready to print rib image (in orange) you'll see the Aileron part of the rib is no attached to the main part.  You'll see a slight transparent area between the 2.  This transparent area tells the user that this area is too small to print.  So, the designer built a full rib but built in sections that would separate into 2 parts.  Very cool.

That's a beautiful wing (as I sit here cutting, razor-planing, sheeting and sanding my wing).
