G-RIDE

After the end of WWI, Parliament created - The Canadian Air Force (CAF) in 1918. Commandant Billy Bishop and other Canadian Aces flew the leftover airplanes provided to them by the British Government. These men loved their Sopwith Triplanes but none where available. Then one day an abandoned Fokker DR-1 was discovered and so CAF-1 Squadron commandeered the aircraft and flew it to the Sopwith factory on the Thames for restoration to a British Airworthy standard.
The CAF was disbanded in 1920.
I always wondered, what happened to that Canadian Sopwith DR-1ca.
