I will be at Rogo by 5 pm if anyone needs training flights, help with trimming or help with maidens*.

Maybe if we make an offering of the maidens to Aeolus he will keep the winds quiet!

It worked Paul.

This resembled a great evening.  No rain, some sun, lighter winds than forecasted. Cross-winds but not that it bothered us.

Thanks to Mark and Paul for trying to sort out the perpetual transmitter issue for new students.  The head-banger issue of the hobby these days.

Photo report:
31- Pool Paul (foreground), new member Kirk and "the other" Paul (Scuse) in the back.
32- Colin (green shirt) showed up for the first time in a while.  Good to see him back with his technology cases. New member Jimmy is sitting down.
33- Guy after his walk of same to retrieve his Spit from the field.  A good decision to land in taller, softer stuff considering it was the first real flight of this re-built airplane.  Here he is summing up his landing technique.
34- Kirk after I lost control of his plane.  I took over when it was low and far away.  The "up" elevator move apparently jettisoned the battery.  A permanent type of BEC*.  The arrows point to the stalks stuck in the fuse and wing.
35- the Alien is back.  Great to see Vadim drop by and fly a drone and his two jets.

Thank you @Frank v B for the moral support during the stressful fright.
No damage to the plane, only a screw loose (or lost a loose screw?!?).
