Next project will be the conversion of a C/L plane to R/C and installation of electric motorization.

The kit was obtained for a song at a Swap Meet this spring.
The modifications should (?!?)  ???  be simple, although the model will be short coupled.
Motor, ESC and servos are all available from my ever growing pile of spare parts.  ;D

Pictures will follow once the building board has been cleared up.

Preparations started, no turning back now because the box has been opened!
The wing is symmetrical and of equal length on both sides, that will facilitate the build.
Screen shots will be used to identify and fabricate the extra parts for the electric version.
That will be a fun project.

Wing almost completed (need to add the 3" leading edge sheeting).
It went together much faster than I had anticipated.
Modifications will follow to mount the aileron servos.

More progress on the Fancy Pants.
Radio installation figured out, see photo 123. More space than I thought.
Wing mated to fuselage with epoxy and micro balloons, see photo 124.
Kindly note that the weights will be removed prior to the first flight.

A lot of progress in 2 days, now that the French Vacation is over.
Rudder needs to be installed and a bunch of other stuff.
Happy with results so far.

Ready for Maiden Flight as soon as weather improves (I guess somewhere around May 2026...)
The CG was verified twice and is just in front of the spar, so approximately 25% of the wing cord.  ::)
Right is right and up is up, motor turns in the correct direction.
Taxi test conducted in the basement; it tracks straight.  ;D
This should be an exiting first flight being that the plane was converted from a C/L model to RC.   :-X

Today, November 1, 2025, I had a very successful Maiden Flight of Fancy Pants.
Very sensitive on the roll, not so bad on the pitch and no problem on the yaw axis.
ESC requires 3 cells only as it cuts out with a 4-cell battery (total in-flight failure... minor repairs)
I will change from 3 blades to 2 as it should provide more power/RPM.
Very Happy with the result.
