I have an old original TF Corsair that I wanted to finish this winter.  I am stuck as it has Air retracts and they don't really work, or at least I am not sure how they work.  I was thinking of going with HK or Eflite retracts, does anyone have any details of what size or what would work?  Corsair have the same system as a P40 where they rotate closed.

I am not going for a scale monster, just a fun plane.

A pilot at the Kingston Funfly had a unique solution. He fitted two dummy fuel tanks complete with landing gear built in. The net result was a fixed gear Corsair with wheels virtually invisible in the air and no needless expense or complication.

That was Phil Soden.  I remember him from the EMFSO, 1995.  Anyway, the plane looked great and took-off and landed very nicely, but did look strange while on the ground.   ;D
