How about Sunday September 4, 2011. 1:00pm to 4:00pm or when we run out of jets. Lunch at 12:00 noon. We will do a BBQ in the Corporate Tent. We may have to charge a small fee depending on the ruling from the Chancellor of the Exchequer or failing that the President will issue a proclamation. All this debt stuff in the States is getting to me.

How about it. If you'd come let me know so I know how much food to bring.

If the tax payers allow me to take a day off I will fly EDF jets on that day.
Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Damn, that's the Hinchcliffe Family Annual Summer vacation week! (Similar to National Lampoons Vacation..... :P)

And I changed it for you and Michael.

I plan to get into EDFs in the next couple weeks, so count me in.

To up the ante a bit, perhaps we could source a radar gun for the club and do some unofficial speed testing of the various models/fans.

Ken Coleman did get a gun but could not read even a 1/4 scale cub at 30'. We would need a very expensive model with high resolution.

you can calculate speeds with a video camera using the dopler method..
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

A quick Google search and I found this:

Seemed to work well for $69 bucks, the reviewer gave it 5-stars.
