Ok, so I go to one "warbirds" event in the Claremont area this summer for sh*ts and giggles.  See all the fantastic planes flying around for a good part of the day. Asking questions all day long! Clair comes over and signs me up to TEMAC as I was more keen on electric vs gas/ nitro.  Next thing I know, TEMAC is a bunch of fantastic people that are more than helpful in this hobby.  I go to work and can't concentrate on more than then next plane I want to fly or build. People in the office think I am crazy after I drive hrs to pick up planes from all over Ontario.  Then I stop today and take a look at the basement that is now covered in kits and planes.  Not sure how much $$$ I have spent.  Knowing that every day in the summer I will be rushing home, batteries charged and heading to either TEMAC or the park infront of the house. The reason that I am saying that I hate this hobby is that collecting plastic models in one thing, but seeing this stuff in the air is just fantastic.  Lots of my other hobbies have been on hold for the last year... ;o(  I really need to start hammering on some projects that need attention.

You can only fly one model at a time. So give some to me. I'll make sure they don't get dusty.
Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Well for the people that know me.. Yes, lots of projects (Cars / planes).  I do attempt to finish them off as time permits.   I don't want to get involved in any "politics" of the hobby, but I do want to understand all aspects of the hobby.  For me it is more the modelling part that I enjoy, having lots of projects just comes with it.

Generally the group has been very good.  Lots of new friendships that will last a long time.    As for focus, ah warbirds will do for now... ;o)     Well until I see someone flying around with floats.. things might change.. ;o)

Never mind Greg you just keep on trekking. You'll know when you have gone too far when you turn a corner, one day, and meet yourself.

All these other hobbies were just practice for your real hobby. Now that you have found the holy grail think of all the helpful skills you have developed while you were waiting to find the "dark side" as Byrocat phrased it.

By the way there is no known antidote to this infection. You are now infected for life. Welcome to our beautiful world.
