For all of us that bought Dyam planes from SN hobbies.   I think that most of us have had issues with the cheap retracts.   Anyways, hobby parts has some that fit for $9.99.   From what I could see, they will solve the problems.

Happy Flying!

I really like E-Flite retracts.

Expensive, but, they are very strong, and will likely out-live any plane they're in.

If you want even more expensive, I saw an ad recently that Robart will start marketing and selling electric retracts as of Jan. 1, 2012.

Hey if you haven't noticed... most of us are rather cheap!   ::)

Smart cheap is finding excellent value for your dollar.

Yes it seems some SN planes come with really cheap stuff. This way they can offer very low prices and provide a lot of value on paper, but the quality may not be there (one retract burnt out on Cliffs P51 on the first try  :o ).

I tend to get mid-range products at good prices. (or the really good stuff at a steal :) )

Would probably stay away from the cheapest option available.

I am always a little worried that these "too good to be true" bargains aren't going to pan out. That's probably why I usually stick with Eflite stuff for the most part (except for batteries, The "King" has my back on that one.

I'll let other guys take it for the team and discover those diamonds in the rough and learn from their experiences.
Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

My Dynam planes are fine... The retracts are sensitive to the cold.  You must have all the settings in the middle for the gears to work right.   If flying in the weather that we got the planes is not ideal.  I just leave the gear dpwn.
