Making the first marks in fresh snow is almost as special with an RC model as with a snowboard or skis. Got to ROGO about 3:30 this afternoon to find the snow on the driveway and the flying field undisturbed. An hour of bliss doing circuits and bumps (touch and go's) ensued without me having to make the first footprint in the snow. My veteran FZ Beaver behaved beautifully almost hanging in the 5knot S wind on approach...satisfyingly scale...snow was so light, floats sunk at least half way.
Wind...S 5-10 knots
Temp -6C...where were you Andy?
Actually, I made second tracks at ROGO...a rabbit beat me to it!
Sorry...left the camera at home :'(

I was hard at work in my treadmill at OPG so all the worthy ice pilots  could charge their batteries!!

Yes, it was a magnificent day, and I contemplated being at the field often!  So glad you made the most of it.

Sure did make the most of it...the way this crazy winter's going could be the only fresh snow flying this winter! Missed you for this epic session Andy!

Don't worry Bill I think we are due a fair bit of snow this week.

All the float planes are repaired and ready to go. I may even steal a page from Andy's gospel of winter fun and put some skis on one plane...Andy, are you watching forecasts?
