On behalf of Admiral Guy* I would like to invite TEMAC members to TooGood Pond for our first get together.  If you have an electric boat, bring it.  If you have an RC sailboat, bring it.  If you don't have a boat, bring yourself and sail one of ours.

Go vote, then go sailing.  You will be home way before the results are reported.

Monday, April 28, 2 pm
Toogood Pond, Northwest of Kennedy Road and Hiway 7.

Note: this is not a TEMAC-only event.  Friends and guests are invited.  The pond belongs to the public.  We are just happy to be able to use it.

* Guy has other things to worry about.  His mother died last night.  He is on his way to Montreal.

This is a blast!  Anyone with time and an RC boat should join!

Your schedule for this coming Monday, April 28:

1) get up....out of bed!
2) go vote- if you have not already (7.2 million, incl. me, did on the first day of advanced voting)
3) go to Toogood Pond for 2 pm
4) go home to your family, have dinner and watch the election results.

Ok.  Some of you (incl. me) will have to go to work sometime between #1 and #4.

The visit to Toogood Pond may be the highlight of the day. ;)

To get to Toogood Pond (Unionville)
- Kennedy Road north past Highway 7 to Carlton Road.
- Left on Carlton Road about 1 km west of Kennedy to Main street (this avoids the slow winding road through Marham village).  Turn right (north) on Main street to 280 Main street.  The sign will point west (left) "To Toogood Pond".  This road leads to the parking lot.  We sail at the south side of the Pavillion.

Toogood was Toogreat!

Enjoyed a beautiful day, lots of wind.  Present were Guy, Jan, Andy, Paul and wife Lorraine and me.
Maiden voyages for Guy's large Galatea, Paul's African Queen (from the movie) and my little 17" Ace Sloop.

Photo report: (photos out of numerical order to combine like subjects)
97- Paul's African Queen- he made it for his wife.  Sure.... I made half of my airplanes for my wife but she does not know it.!!
98- Paul working on his model
99- Paul and Lorraine.
97- Jan and his boat retrieval contraption
12- close-up of Jan's retrieval contraption.  Looks like some of the plumbing in his house may be missing as is the red sandwich container.  Where's the kitchen sink?
05- Guy's Galatea with my little sailboat to leeward.
13- Guy's Galatea out of the water.
14- close-up of the dory the crew uses to escape the Galatea.
09- Guy's other sailboat.  It was handed around to at least 3 people to sail.

Great first visit to the pond.

I had a great time this afternoon.
The weather looks just as good for next Monday...
I plan to be there with some boats and the "big one".
Thank you for the photos @Frank v B .
