7lbs and 55" span! Wonder how I could remove the shine? Two reasons one so it looks more scale and two so I can say oh I've had that for years!

About two minutes taxiing in the soy beans should give it a nice clay patina!

Apparently they also blew out the eflite hurricane (bnf) and scimitar (pnp) for $120. Looks like they're working on some new models.

Ok makes sense. Bobby was telling me he picked up the Scimitar on the weekend. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I couldn't believe the price.

Altho I like the P40, I'm not too fussy on the B model. Prefer the D model. So if I splurge, I'll go for he Hurricane.

For those who don't know Martin, he's the guy behind the Kingston Electric Fun Fly (annual since 1993 I think) and a long time electric flyer and awesome builder of unusual aircraft.

And while we're talking about it, I encourage everyone to make a road trip of it and head to the Kingston Electric Fun Fly this year. They have a fantastic field with a nice clubhouse and generally great layout. There's plenty of room for camping at the field and a nearby motel that's quite reasonable (but book early as it fills up). I'll be camping at the field on Friday and Saturday evenings and wouldn't miss this event for anything (that's within my control... I'm still pissed at my brother for getting married on the weekend of the Kingston fun fly in 1997. The marriage didn't last, but the fun fly sure has

)

As awesome and fun TEMAC is, it's always fun to fly at other club's fields on occasion to explore that airspace a bit and take in some other atmosphere. And it's a fun "weekend away" if nothing else

Another bonus as far as I'm concerned, is the potential for Saturday evening float flying at a nearby lake. One of the Kingston members, Wilf, opens his property to anyone who'd like to do some float flying each year. So far, we haven't been very successful because of weather, generally, but I'm hoping for great things this year and with our local revitalization in float flying, we should have a great event, within the event.

So plan to attend this year, if you can. It's the weekend of June 29 & 30.
