  Hey guys!
I was just wondering if any of you guys know how to fly 3d helicopters
and if you could perhaps give me some pointers on building/setting up/
flying rc helis'.
So far I have experience with the blade msr (most advanced one i got)
and I figured i should go higher...

  Thanks.

Hey guys, anybody willing to do a bit of heli training?

I have seen Max fly RC. He is a capable plane and heli flyer.

im flying an EXI 450 (trex 450 clone)... the whole kit cost me about 650$ WITH the setup from arden... i think... it was between 600-700$... but hearing from what other people said making the brand trex 450... i saved about 350$ so im happy with it... if you want, i can give you al the parts i used... but installing the servos was a PAIN!!!!!!! i used nuts and bolts because screwes wouldnt hold well enough... if you get the helicopter i highly reccommend getting a dremel or you in for a tough ride :-/

  so yeah

I hope $650 included the radio,a couple of batteries and a battery charger. Otherwise it seems kind of steep for a clone. You can get a base HK450 kit for $30, metal one for $50.

Of course there is something to be said for the value added by getting Arden to set it up for you.

well. it didnt include the TX... but that included the reciever and 4 3cell 2200mah AND a 1-6 cell lipo 1-?? cell- nimh-nicd and A123 battery charger... the helicopter kit was 39.99 i think... also i got a 40$ tail servo i think... so the parts were very high quality (even though from HK). didnt get hk450 cuz it was trex450 v1 not v2 clone...
there is a bunch of versions going from 39.99-200.99 200.99 is a little too mich though... i've read the reviews for it and from what people said... it flies better than real trex 450

Probably a good gyro in there as well? The tail is one place where spending a bit more will help.
I have had good results with the $16 HK401 gyro and the $25 Inolabs 201 digital tail servo.
FWIW, HK just released a new HK450 that is V2 compatible and has more metal parts, still $30.

i used a telebee (HK) and it works fine... the tail servo is huge though... i think its like 3x the size of an hs-55
