I heard it this morning from Jack.

Smashed to itty bitty pieces.

Damn that was a very nice model! saw it fly on its maiden [:(]

P.S.

I got there around 4:45, winds were really starting to drop, by 5:30 it was near dead calm. We flew almost non-stop until past sundown. I'm hoping for similar this afternoon.

Yup ... itty bitty pieces is right.  Fortunately none of my electronics were affected. (except my batt pack) It still sucks though cause the plane was flying so well ... I was even getting it to hover in THAT wind and it was as stable as a rock.

So I was just coimg around the circuit to do some more stuff when BAM ... no elevator control!  Plane went straight in from about 100 feet. Upon inspection it SEEMED as if the elevator half had comletely detatched from the horizontal stab. (I guess that would account for the loss of control!) The CA hinges seemed like they didn't have much glue on them even though I distinctly remember glueing and checking them.

Oh well ... my twenty third crash in seven years and I'm sure it won't be my last! It's all good because at least it wasn't dumb thumbs. :)
