The forecast looks good. I think I will be going to TEMAC tomorrow. Anyone else?
Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

I'll be there.

Some sort of shift in The Force must have occurred.
I actually made it out to Temac today. [:D]
4 flights on two new airplanes.
Then came the rain and that was it for the day.
Flew my Simprop Solution and my 3DHS 51" AJ Slick.
I was too rusty to really do justice to the SLick, but it is one awesome airplane.

The Solution used to belong to Csaba about 10 years ago, but he crashed it. I made two new wings for it and repaired and repainted the fuse. Fly very nice. Of course he flew it on 10 NiCds with an Astro 40 FAI motor, I am using 4S A123 with an HK outrunner so it is both lighter and more powerful. I also added flaps to the new wings, so it can do full "crow" now. They slow it right down for landing.
Some pictures of it here:

Anyway this is a 100% improvement over last year, when I never made it out to TEMAC at all. [:I]

Hard to tell from the pictures.
114" (Original wings were 106" span)
5 pounds 2 ounces AUW
~500 watts

Airfoils are HQ1512 at the root and the first panel break transitioning to  HQ1010 at the second panel break and the tip

Hi Pat what did you think of the extra 100' of runway and did you need any of it with that beautiful large powered glider?

I saw the extension, but didn't go right over to look at it.

With full "crow" (flaps down and ailerons up) the Glider flies very slowly. You can point it down 30 degrees and it won't really speed up at all. So it is quite easy to spot land, easier than most sport models.
