I just acquired one of these planes.   It was already set up for electric.  There are a few TEMAC / EMFSO members that have some.  I am having an issue with the motor mount.  I am using the hanger 9 electric mount and was told to the fixed propeller mount verses one that mounts on the engine shaft (being more true).  But the Turnigy motor that I am using is a bit long and I really don't want to cut the mount to get it to fit properly.  How have other members mounted a motor on this or any other hanger 9 P-51?  If I put the motor on the inside of the mount, I have enough room to clean the cowl.  If I do it the way that Dave at PIN asked me, I have to cut the mount almost 2" and even then I am tight. American Princess?
Maybe Miss America?

Gregor77

Oh, that's right, no much princess on the mind!  lol!   Funny thing was that I just thought of it when I told someone at the office I got an American Princess and he asked what her name was?

Gregor77

Sorry, I am try to write this stuff at work through a small window ;o)  Not much for spelling at that size.

Congradulations Greg, I didn't know they have mail order brides from America! [^]

I already got my Asian order bride... I don't think that I could handle one from the USA.  I dated those before... PASS!

But Miss America!  All the way!  I might have to change the name to Miss Carmen to keep the peace at home... ;o)

Does anyone have a 3.5 Spinner I can have or buy?
