Where can I get ROD connectors

I am debating about building a larger copy of the quick silver as a joke, but I can't think of a way to make the carbon rod connectors?  Any suggestions?  

Here is what I was going to do, let me know if there is something I can change.

Wings pink foam with a carbon rod.
Carbon rods to make the frame.
Pilot from either Hanger 9 or a Dragon Models Pilot for weight up front.
Wheels from HZ cub
Turnigy 30-36 and a 2200 pack with a 40A esc.
WS about 1 meter to keep it scale.
CG same as QS model.

It should look something like a plane when done!  lol!
